Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, known as JIPMER, is a reputed institution located in Puducherry. It provides several courses in the field of medical science. JIPMER has invited applications for BSc. nursing along with 11 allied courses. JIPMER has released the notice for BSc. Nursing admissions 2024-2025. Counselling registration has been started online mode from 3rd October 2024. The last date for submission of the online application is October 24, 2024.
B.Sc. Nursing online counseling began on 3rd October, 2024. It is necessary for every candidate to go through the counselling process. Counselling is the last process in the admission process. It is different and varies with different aspects like seat allotment, verification of documents, etc. Seats are allotted to the candidates based on their marks scores in the entrance examination and cut-off.
Candidates who have been allotted seats need to go to the allotted centre along with the required documents and admission fee for confirmation of seat. If candidates fail to present at the allotted centre then their seats will be cancelled and will be offered to the next candidate.
Candidates are invited for counselling based on their marks and points of reservation. Candidates may opt for or depute seats when their turn comes, which depends on seat availability.
All the necessary documents need to be brought for verification. Seats will be allotted to the candidates after all details and fee payment verification.

There are certain eligibility criteria for applying to JIPMER B.Sc nursing.
a) The Higher/ Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher/ Senior Secondary Examination after 12 years of study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
b) The applicant must have passed separately in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology and English and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks, taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology at the qualifying examination.
c) Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination.
d) For PwD candidates in the general category the minimum marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination is 45%.
The admit card for JIPMER BSc. Nursing has been issued by the authorities through online mode on the official website. Students can download the admit card using login details. The exam date, time, and venue are given on the admit card.
No applicant has been permitted to appear for the examination without a valid admit card and at least one identification proof. Not mandatory to carry unnecessary documents at the examination centre such as mobile, any other electronic device, bags etc. Take an online printout of the hall ticket and maintain its safe copy for later reference purposes.
